About the Founder

Laura Morales is a proud Phoenix native, dedicated educator, and passionate advocate for families of Deaf and Hard of Hearing children. A former military spouse and mother of four—including a Deaf child who inspired her life’s work; Laura has experienced firsthand the urgent need for accessible, inclusive education.

Her journey began at Phoenix College, where she studied American Sign Language and earned a Deaf Studies Certificate. She continued her education at Arizona State University, graduating with a dual degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. As both an educator and a mother of a Deaf child and a neurodiverse child, Laura has a deep understanding of the challenges and strengths of diverse learners.

Recognizing the lack of alternative education options for Deaf children in her community, Laura founded Hands2Teach to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering space where every student is valued. Her mission is to offer a learner-first experience that nurtures individuality, curiosity, and confidence—helping Deaf and all children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
